I’m Craig Bagno
& I‘m a NYC Photographer
I’m a Greenwich Village based street photographer who has been documenting life in NYC for the last fifteen years. A prolific shooter, I haven’t left my apartment without a camera in tow for longer than I can remember. When people ask what I shoot, I tell them I capture “light and loneliness”. That’s a fancy, pithy way of saying I’m interested in finding moments of solitude and beauty in this city I love. I’m also a high functioning autistic and my photos are a reflection of the upsides of my neurodiversity. In addition to my personal art, I’m available for events and commercial assignments of all sorts.
My book of photography — New York City Anonymous, Photographs 2008-2018 — was published just before Covid. It is perhaps the last book to capture city life before the lockdown.
I’m a recovering advertising exec, with a 30 year career as a strategist and maker of ideas for some of the world’s most beloved brands. Coke, IKEA, IBM, Mastercard, etcetera. Now focused on the streets of this city.
